Week 4 : The Comic Book - The Haunt of Fear

Unlike TinTin, this comic has more of a realistic style to the illustrations and they are graphic with the use of ink and color close together. The old witch in The Witches Cauldron: a Little Stranger, is very creapy, especially with the very intense bulding aqua blue eye looking directly at the reader. I like how the narration sets the scene instead of just jumping into the dialogue, letting the reader infer the tone of the story through the illustrations, as in the expressions and dark colors. I think the old man kind of lost his marbles when they said the person could've been killed by a werewolf and a vampire. Of course he was right. I like how this was one of the typical love stories where it's love at first sight. One thing that I wasn't expecting was that it was the story of how the witch's parent met, etc., as well as how she was born. I thought this one was interesting and that it would've gone on longer, but that was a good stopping point for that story.
